Fp1 Smile

FP1 Dental Implants

What is FP1 in Dental Implants?

When people lose teeth, dental implants can be used to bring back both function and appearance. In some cases, only the teeth are missing, while the gums and bone underneath are still healthy. This is where FP1 comes in.

  • FP1 means the replacement is focused only on the teeth, without having to rebuild or replace the gum line or missing bone.

  • The result looks and feels more natural because the new crowns come right out of your own gums, just like natural teeth.

  • Patients often find FP1 restorations easier to clean and maintain compared to other types of full-arch solutions.

Other options, such as FP2 or FP3, replace both teeth and missing gum or bone with artificial materials. These are needed when there has been more bone loss, but when possible, FP1 is the most natural option.

Benefits of FP1 Implants

  • Natural look: The crowns emerge from your own gum line.

  • Easier cleaning: Similar to brushing natural teeth.

  • Comfortable fit: Less bulky than prosthetics that also replace gum tissue.

  • Confidence in your smile: FP1 is often the closest option to how your own teeth used to look and feel.

Is FP1 Right for You?

Not everyone is a candidate for FP1 implants. They require good bone support and healthy gum tissue. During your consultation, Dr. Bishara will carefully evaluate:

  • The amount of bone available for implants

  • How your gum line appears when you smile

  • Your overall oral health and treatment goals

If FP1 is not possible, other options like FP2 or FP3 may still give you a strong, natural-looking smile.
